Last night we had a dinner party and invited everyone we had decided to ask to be in our line. We had made final decision about a month and a half ago, but we wanted to surprise them and make it special. When we officially asked them (officially meant getting on one knee to each person and 'proposing' they stand with us according to Ben) we told them that we weren't just asking them to stand with us for the day of our wedding, but for the rest of our lives. We wanted them to know that their role in our wedding would continue into our marriage and we love and appreciate all they do and are in our lives. It was a very touching moment for me to have most of my best friends in a room together and profess our love to them. :)
Melisa Griffith, one of my two Maid of Honors, cooked a DELICIOUS ham with asparagus, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls and wine! It was amazing! We had such a fun time and talked a little about the festivities to come. Ben and I are SO amped for all the time we're going to get to hang out with some of our closest friends in the months to come.
